Hoogweg Paprikakwekerijen moved a large part of its operations to Luttelgeest in 2008. Firstly we set up a business occupying 22 hectares on Kalenbergerweg. In 2009 the company’s first expansion took place, when we acquired an additional 22 hectares on location Nieuwslandseweg 9. This location houses our head office.
The construction of the location Marknesse, Nieuwlandseweg 10 was started in April 2016. The construction was completed in 2018 and there are 4 greenhouses of 12.5 hectares.
The construction of a new processing hall and 2 new greenhouses are completed at the end of 2020. In 2021, the 2 other greenhouses will be built on the other side of the processing hall.
In 2014 we acquired an existing tomato growing business occupying an area of 10 hectares at the Nieuwlandsweg, close to our first production location. This is a relatively new greenhouse that was converted for sweet pepper cultivation with some minor adjustments.
Our company is originally from Nootdorp where it all began in 1987. We still own a growing facility there at the Langelandseweg, right next to the A12 motorway. The company occupies 6.8 hectares and was built in 2000. Even though this facility is located at quite a distance from our other locations, the Nootdorp site is still a valued part of our business.
The sweet peppers from all our locations are sorted and packed (small packaging) at our 3 processing locations.
